Dr. Germán Aparicio is a dedicated optometrist with a passion for promoting eye care and enhancing accessibility to individuals from all walks of life. He continuously strives to educate his patients on their ocular health in order to effectively prevent or manage ocular disease.
Dr. Aparicio completed his undergraduate studies at University of California Santa Barbara, where he received his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biological Sciences. He then pursued his optometric studies at University of California Berkeley School of Optometry where he received his Doctorate of Optometry degree.
To hone in on his interest of specialty contact lenses, Dr. Aparicio completed a residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses/Ocular Disease at the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Aparicio possesses a keen understanding of diagnosing and managing corneal and anterior segment pathology. As a contact lens
specialist, Dr. Aparicio is experienced in fitting gas permeable, hybrid, scleral, and soft lenses for patients with post-surgical, ocular surface disease, keratoconus, orthokeratology, or otherwise difficult-to-fit prescriptions.
With his unique blend of clinical proficiency, cultural understanding, and a genuine desire to serve, Dr. Aparicio is excited to bring his optometric knowledge and compassionate approach to the Sacramento community. Dr. Aparicio is able to communicate effectively and compassionately in English and Spanish.
